About Water

Too few people today understand that there will never be anymore water on earth than what exists today!

The truth is that all of the Earth's water is self-contained and simply migrates from one temporary "reservoir" to the next. Freshwater falls upon land and eventually reaches the salt-water oceans and seas where clouds form and carry it back to land where it falls again as freshwater, scrubbed in the process of its impurities. Thus, water migrates throughout the earth, passing through and giving life to all it touches along the journey in a continuous cycle that ranges in duration from a few days to thousands of years.

Knowing this helps us understand the severity and truth about our current global water crisis. Because the truth is that, today, less that 1% of all the Earth's water is contained in freshwater "reservoirs" (lakes, rivers, aqueducts) that are easily accessible and fit for human consumption. If left unchanged, 40% of the Earth's population will lack access to safe drinking water within only 7 years (by 2015).
